Biographical statement

Eduardo holds a law degree from Venezuela where he practiced for four years before moving to Singapore to pursue a dual masters of law with the National University of Singapore and the New York University, and later a master of anthropology at the ANU. His doctoral research focuses on the evaluation, beyond traditional economic indicators, of participatory development programs in South East Asia. His fieldwork will rely on ethnographic methods to analyze Indonesia’s PNPM community empowerment program, one of the largest participatory development programs implemented by international and national aid agencies in partnership with the Indonesian government.
